SRAM PressFit 30 Bottom Bracket

This is a PF 30 BB that should not exist, its utter rubbish. The bearings are not held by the plastic well at all. You would never use this BB on a bike your going to ride, selling a bike and need a BB would be the only scenario anyone would use one of these.

This is one of the most common BB's to ship in bikes. If it lasts 1000 km you are lucky. The bearings are not held by the plastic well at all, during assembly you will find that the bearings are almost an interference fit to the axle, but the bearings can be pushed in and out of the cups by hand. Instead of assembling with both bearings pressed into the cups first, press cups in, then put bearing onto drive side of the spindle, and push into cup. Then place bearing onto non drive side, and gently tap home as best you can, then use the nds adjuster to pull together.

Use RTV gasket maker, Permatex, on cups to frame interface to eliminate creaking/cup migration. Ships with terrible grease on the bearings too. I'd wash it out with Naptha and regrease too.
