Again I will start with the price, the pricing seems too good to be true but that is far from the truth. This is by far my favorite Bike and I will buy another one when the time comes. I will also stick with the aluminum version because I am not pro and intend to ride my bike for a few years and I don't see this bike to feel too heavy ever.
I moved from a size Large 2013 Demo 8 to a size Large YT Tues and was comfortable on it immediately. The first time i ended up riding this bike was at a race at mount snow which is quite rocky, I took third place behind a pro who had just stepped down and another rider who moved to pro the following year and performed well. This bike is fast and comfortable.
The components that come stock on this bike are ready to race with. I ended up swapping out a few things for my preference and because i had a brand new set of saint brakes that were going to go on my old bike before i decided to buy new. I was able to sell the Guide brakes that came on it for a good price which paid for the suspension upgrades I needed to make. I am 230lbs and the bike comes with a 250lb spring in the back and a medium boxxer spring up front. I installed a 350lb spring in the back and am very happy with its performance. Instead of just replacing the medium Boxxer spring I opted to buy the solo air internal components and replace the coil spring with an air spring for only a few more bucks essentially turning the Team that comes stock into a World Cup.
Parks, no questions asked.
Customer service, I had a few questions from the start and the guys out of Reno were very helpful and continue to be helpful when I needed to buy a derailleur hanger or had questions about which rear spring to use for my weight.
Wheels, The DT swiss YT 2020 wheels that come stock on this bike are nearly indestructible. I raced a year and a half on them in CAT 1 30-39, won many races, I am 230lbs and they still work tubeless. I have had to true them and remove a small rim dent with a crescent wrench but they still hold air. I plan on going into my 3rd season racing this bike and will use the DT swiss YT2020 wheels as my mud spike setup.
My favorite forms of riding are racing downhill and riding large jumps. This bike is fast and smooth through a rock garden and can handle a wooden ramp jump comfortably.
I would and do regularly recommend this bike at YT to friends and other riders I meet throughout my travels. I look forward to racing it again in the 2017 Season.
Riding this bike in CAT 1 30-39 I won my races at the Mountain Creek and Windham PRO GRT races in 2016 and also ride this bike on the Claymore course at Highland.
Place contact me if you have any specific questions about this bike.
