• Brakes? Great stopping power. Lever adjustment is a pain.
• Bars? A bit stiff
• Stem? We swapped the 50mm for a 35mm (3 of the riders in our test at were in between medium and large (tested)).
• Dropper post? Fantastic
• Customer service? Depends on who you ask.
• Upgrade-ability? Sky’s the limit.
• 29er haters, go for the 27.5 model.

The best direct-to-consumer bike deal for a well-performing 150mm travel #29er? Probably. The only reason we would not buy this bike is because it’s almost always sold out, and we would not be able to get our hands on it.

Playful, progressive with a solid spec, the Jeffsy ate rough, rocky #DH tracks and blasted big jump lines. Consecutive mid-size hits may feel harsh. Portly at over 34 pounds, earning our way up was worth it for the descent. This fast-turning, well-handling bike blurs the line between trail  and enduro.

Like most #bikes in this price range, rear hub engagement is weak, the SX cassette is a boat anchor and some rebound settings on the rear shock are useless. The Fidlock water bottle is awkward, but at least it keeps weight low. A couple bolts came loose but once re-tightened have remained snug.
