Well balanced, playful, excellent value
The Bad
Short travel dropper, in-frame storage is a bit tight to be useful
Overall Review:

On my first real ride on this bike, I shuttled Kingsbury Stinger with 3 very capable riders who are at least as good as myself. I figured I was on a new bike so I’d take it easy and I let them all go ahead of me. In the first half mile of the trail I had gapped everyone. I just couldn’t not go fast. The rest of the trails I rode that day gave the other guys a chance to redeem themselves on the climbs, more my fault than the SCOR’s. I do miss the snappy ascending of my trusty old Tallboy, but that’s not a fair comparison. The upside of that is the 4060 will happily mash through chunky trail without breaking a sweat, and still let me play off every little feature on the trail rather than just absorbing it (lookin at you SB130). In my 40’s I’m more focused on finesse rather than big hits. The frame is properly stiff where it needs to be and feels very sure-footed. I have never felt this confident in fast corners. I find the Code brakes to be a bit grabby, but that might be remedied with some organic pads.
The spec is solid, I would much prefer an XT group over SRAM but hey, I got other bills to pay. The RockShox fork and shock work great, some compression adjustments on the shock would be nice but otherwise no complaints considering I got out the door at my LBS for under $5k.
