Pretty Sweet Rig
The Good
In the past three years I’ve had a YT Jeffsy 27, a Pivot Mach 5.5, and now an RM Altitude. The Altitude is by far the most fun of the three. It’s lighter and faster. It smooths out the trail amazingly well, but is insanely playful. I think it climbs very well. Coming from a DW Link bike I thought it might not climb as well, but it’s as good if not better than the Mach 5.5 going up hill. My bike is a custom build with X01 Eagle and Nox Carbon wheels. It’s about 29lbs with flat pedals. I love this thing and it’s got me looking at other Rocky Mountain bikes as well.
The Bad
It can be a little twitchy at high speed for a 150mm travel bike. I’m sure that has to do with the really short chain stays.
Overall Review:
The most fun bike I’ve owned in a long time.
