Mongoose is a household name in our two-wheeled culture. Their history in BMX is as versed as their involvement in mountain biking, and they've made sure smiles can be had in the dirt for nearly 40 years. Mongoose continues to focus on value and accessibility with their products. The brand's famous Teocali model now comes in four different full-suspension aluminum offerings in 2017. The Teocali Sport starts at just $1899 and their high-end Teocali Pro, featured here, runs only $3499 retail. The Teocali Pro is a 27.5-inch-wheeled enduro bike that features 160mm of travel, front and rear. Suspension duties are handled by Manitou products. The Horst link rear suspension is controlled by a McLeod King Can air shock that offers rebound adjustment and Manitou's IPA (Incremental Platform Adjustment) control. The Mattoc Pro fork uses a 15mm axle and has both hi- and lo-speed compression adjustment, rebound adjustment and hydraulic bottom-out control.

The Teocali Pro utilizes a 2x Shimano drivetrain that's comprised of SLX and XT parts. A 34/24 front ring arrangement is mounted to XT cranks while the SLX direct-mount front derailleur manages chain placement. The 11-speed 11-40t XT cassette is navigated by an XT rear derailleur. Shimano SL-M7000 shifters tie the system together at the cockpit and feature multi-directional paddle actuation for changing gears. The M7000 units help keep you tuned in to your gearing with indicators up on the bars, too.

The Shimano drivetrain makes the bike go and Shimano SLX disc brakes slow it down. The SLX levers have a tool-less reach adjuster and the system utilizes the fast-cooling ICE Tech rotors in 180mm both front and rear. The rotors are mounted to the Sun-Ringle Charger AL Expert wheelset. Built with 28 straight-pull spokes, the 27mm (outer width) tubeless-ready rims are connected to hubs (15mm front, 12x142mm rear) that spin on SRX cartridge bearings. Schwalbe Nobby Nic 2.35-inch tires are a solid, trail-ready choice for traction.

X-Fusion's Hilo Strate adjustable seat post carries a color-matched WTB saddle. The X-Fusion dropper is cable-actuated via BAT lever on the bars. Since the Teocali has both a front derailleur and a dropper post, cable real estate is at a premium. The Mongoose has multiple internal routing options as well as cable mounts on the outside of the frame to keep things as tidy as possible.
