Eagle-eyed viewers of the recent New Zealand DH National coverage have spotted what appears to be a revised Devinci Wilson frame under Devinci Global Racing's Nick Beer.
Compared to the 2013 Wilson, the most obvious update is a new downtube front shock mount as opposed to mounting it to the underside of the top tube. Changing the location eliminates the old shock mount bracket and in theory a bit of weight. Devinci may have also used the opportunity to change up the leverage curve based on rider feedback.
Could it be a 27.5-inch (650b) rig? It's certainly possible. Moving the shock forward and rotating the BB link would give more wheel clearance out back. Also, RockShox had prototype 27.5 BoXXer lowers at the end of 2013 race season and is expected to release more details to the public soon.
Stevie Smith was seen riding the prototype recently, so there's a good chance we'll see the bike in use at Round 1 of the UCI Downhill World Cup Series in South Africa this April.
Can you spot any other updates?
