Spy Shot: Aluminum GT Fury 13

Eric Carter is at a GT product launch in Park City and just beamed these photos to the interweb.

Here's what we know:
  • This is the new GT Alloy Fury
  • It has the same linkage as the carbon version
  • At $3150, it's targeted toward riders on a budget
  • You'll be "earning your wings" in no time on this rig

Complete GT Alloy Fury DH bike
The GT Alloy Fury uses a Marzocchi Roco R in the rear and a 888 up front.

We tested and reviewed the Ruckus 7 on Mybikestand and LOVED it. I think this is a gtreat opportunity for those on a budget to get a solid performing bike they can build upon. Very interested to get one to see how it compares.

Too bad it has the I-drive... Rides awesome, but develops mechanical issues SO often.

Iggz the price point is cheap, 3150. In my eyes it looks amazing for that price, it will offer people getting into the sport a rolling DH bike that they can slowly build to their own spec which is what we need in this expensive sport. I have been testing this bike for several months now, and it rides amazing. Really stoked on the bike and what GT is doing for the sport. Bike pedals awesome, slays corners and is comfy in the air. Super dialed Geo as well, mine is super slack, low BB and really solid WB (cant go into details since its just a proto). For the money it can not be beat! GT is back!
