Sneak Peek: Saracen's Updated Prototype Slopestyle Frame 2

With an already very successful team on the World Cup DH circuit, Saracen looks to be refocusing some of their efforts on the slopestyle scene.

This fresh prototype will be ridden by Saracen trick master Matt Jones this weekend at the X Games. Follow him on instagram for more.

Looking through the archives, it's apparent that Saracen has been working on this project for more than three years. The new version (left, in raw form) shows some good progress from the last one (right), with a pretty large leap from one design to the other.

The prototype uses a Saracen Myst front triangle tube-set and a heavily modified Saracen ALX rear triangle. Geometry will be pretty similar to the ALX and is designed to be tight and whippy with a 100-120mm fork up front and 100mm rear travel.

The new frame pivots around the bb, allowing riders to run it singlespeed without having to deal with chain growth. There's an optional derailleur hanger should you want to run it geared. Adjustable chain tensioners are built into the dropouts.

Keep an eye on www.saracen.co.uk for the latest, and watch for Matt Jones to throw down on it in this weekend's X Games Munich slope contest!
