I run the AVS guards here in the desert and they've been saving my hands for months. They might look dumb but they serve a purpose. Not sure about these bad boys, wouldn't want to get caught in them when I crash.

If we could get a schedule of photo/video drops over the next few days, it would great increase my productivity at work. Otherwise, my thirst for DH coverage is going to lead to checking Vital every 10 minutes.....

FYI, I'm joking about my request, but not about my productivity.

Flush mount that bolt! Even though it only sticks out a little, it still snags on things. This comes from my moto experience.

The avs guards are great for keeping brush from whipping your hands, but they aren't gonna do shit if you hit a tree. Hit a tree though and you might have bigger problems than a sore pinky!

The bigger issue is when you ditch your bike and get up to a snapped bar on a casual crash. Stress risers and massive leverage from the guard itself used to snap moto bars in enduro races until they built in some malleability to the guards.

For the same reason I don’t use those in Moto I wouldn’t touch those on a bike. Wash out around a corner, arm gets caught in gaurd, snappy snappy. Not for me

Agree 100%, I'll take the bruised knuckles and broken finger over the severed arm when your hand slips through it.
