Tori is a Mountain Biker based in Squamish and is an incredible fit for this show because she not only shreds on a bike, but she is also completing her master's degree in Psychological Counseling.
Having picked up riding only 5 or so years ago, Tori wasted no time and truly embraced diving headfirst into the sport. She recently rose to mtb stardom as a contestant in season 2 of the Pink Bike Academy where she competed in her first-ever race in front of countless people online and trackside. Tori quickly became a fan favorite as she approached each challenge with her trademark grit and determination.
We get into all kinds of interesting topics during our conversation including:
- Her gymnastics background, and the lessons she learned, good and bad from an ultra-competitive environment.
- How her Mental Health workshops are helping other mountain sports enthusiasts by providing much-needed awareness and tools.
- FOMO, and how to navigate these feelings as a Mountain Biker.
- Self-talk. The good, the bad, and the great!
And of course, we relate all of this back to practical tools you can implement in your own riding!
