DH Racing Returns to Squamish

We’re excited to announce the OneUp DH SORCA Cinco on Sunday, October 20th. This downhill race is a fundraiser for SORCA and will be held on a completely revamped DH track on Diamond Head. Nearly 100% of all proceeds go directly to SORCA.

Get in the mix with the some of the world's best racers: Jackson Goldstone, Miranda Miller, Jake Jewett, Dane Jewett, Mark Wallace, Kasper Wooley, Andréane Lanthier Nadeau and a bunch of hot shots of Canadian DH racing will be out in full force.

You must be a SORCA member to participate. Full-face helmets and back protection are mandatory.

Schedule

Friday, Oct 18: Track Walk

12:00pm - 5:00pm : Designated track walk time for racers.
- Course will be closed to racers and hikers beforehand.
- Course will be taped with new sections included.
- We highly recommend walking the course, even if you've ridden these trails before!

Saturday, Oct 19: Practice Day

9:00 - 4:30pm : Course open for practice all day.
- First-aid will be present.
- Racers may self-shuttle or book shuttles with Shred Shuttle themselves.
- If you are self-shuttling on Friday or Saturday, limited parking is available at the chain-up lot and the lower Elfin Lakes parking lot.
- You cannot park at the switchback above 19th Hole. Parking outside of any designated areas will compromise our approvals with BC Parks.

Saturday, Oct 20: Race Day

8:30 am - 11:00am : Morning pactice (Shuttle provided to all racers).
- All racers required to complete at least 1 practice on on Sunday.
- Racers provided 1-2 shuttle runs for their morning practice.
- Racers may self-shuttle. Please be respectful of other road users and follow the rules of the road.

11:30 am - 4:30pm : Race runs.
- Racers will be assigned a start time and shuttle time on Friday.
- Start times will be organized by category.
- Gaps will be 30s between riders for all categories and 1:00 for pros.
