iXS Unveils New Xult DH Helmet

29 June - Sursee, Switzerland: iXS, the Swiss MTB clothing and protection brand, has unveiled its latest offering in its full-face helmet collection: the Xult DH.

Specifically engineered to protect riders and racers who enjoy tackling rough and demanding terrain, the Xult DH has been redesigned and refreshed from the earlier ‘Xult’ helmet manufactured by iXS. Now with a more aggressive, angular design and a built-in, impact dampening technology, the new Xult DH is a triple threat for the DH rider who values comfort, protection, and style.

Lightweight FRP Shell

iXS technologies used to create the Xult DH include Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP), an environmentally friendly alternative to carbon which requires less material. This in turn increases its structural strengths but decreases weight and volume of the helmet — the medium size Xult DH clocks in at just under 1kg — but without compromising durability. The Xult DH’s sleek, modern design comes in a choice of three colors: Black, Lagoon and Red, complementing the wider iXS apparel range.

X-Rail & X-Matter Protection

Rider safety is paramount to iXS’s protection range and the Xult DH is no exception. The helmet features the brand’s own X-Rail and X-Matter technology, where inserts are positioned across major impact zones between the EPS and the outer shell. These inserts deform on soft impacts and stiffen on harder impacts, enabling the helmet to absorb impact and promote multi-directional movement in the event of a crash.

Unequivocal Comfort

Integrated Vortex Ventilation channels make the Xult DH extremely breathable when the heat is on. Large intake vents directly link via channels in the EPS with exhaust vents, keeping cool air flowing through the helmet. 

The Xult full-face also comes equipped with an ergonomic padding system with specially designed cheek pads, guaranteeing a high degree of riding comfort and a secure and comfortable fit. A silicone strap keeps goggles in place whilst a reliable Double-D closure system offers safety and a precise fit on every ride.
