Chris King Releases Two-Tone Black Punch Components

December 3, 2024 – Portland, OR – Chris King Precision Components has released the latest in their range of iconic component colors, Two-Tone Black Punch. The new color features subtle, matte black backgrounds with intense magenta accent tones, and replaces the Two-Tone Black Gold colorway that was sunset from the line in October.

“Our original Matte Punch components were really popular, especially with riders who remember the first bright anodized components from the ‘80s that were all the rage in BMX and mountain biking,” said Chris King Design Manager Jay SyCip. “So, we wanted to bring that back but in a more subtle way.”

Riders will be able to get all the components in the current Chris King lineup, with only a few exceptions, in the new colorway, with first orders shipping now. 

“Every Chris King color has its devotees. We have Matte Mango people and others who only ever put silver components on their bikes,” said SyCip “It’s always fun to see who’s going to become the core audience for a new color. We expect some people who were big fans of Matte Punch to gravitate toward this new colorway.”

Chris King Two Tone Black Punch will be available at all Chris King partner shops, as well as on the company’s own website.
