Winter Park's Hideaway Park Brewery to Host Top Athletes, Brands, and Events During USA MTB Nationals 1

Your chance to drink good beer and meet Aaron Gwin, Jill Kintner, Richie Rude and a whole host of American mountain bike superstars.

Hideaway Park Brewery has lined up four nights (July 25-28th) of athlete meet and greets, product sneak peeks, parties, and of course great beer to celebrate the sport of mountain biking during USA Cycling’s MTB National’s week in Winter Park, CO, Mountain Bike Capital, USA.

Stages Cycling kicks off festivities on Thursday, July 25th hosting ‘Dash Party’ with guest appearances by Jill Kintner (Norco/Redbull), Richie Rude (Yeti Factory Racing), Erin Huck (Construction Zone Racing) and the US contingent of the Clif Bar Pro team. Athletes will be on hand and signing autographs for fans at 5pm sharp. The first 100 attendees (over age 21) will receive a complementary Stages FTP IPA—a custom beer brewed for the event by Hideaway Park owner and head brewer, Andy Brumenschenkel.

Stages Cycling representatives will be on hand to show the new Dash GPS cycling computers. Stages took mountain bike needs into consideration while designing their second-generation Dash M50. This just-launched cycling computer will be out in front of some of the best athletes competing in Winter Park.

On Friday, July 26th TRP Cycling will take over the Hideaway Park Brewery. This event starts at 5:30 with athletes arriving at 6pm for an autograph signing and sneak peek of TRP’s new downhill components. TRP and Hideaway Park will host Intense Factory Racing’s American riders, including Aaron Gwin, Neko Mulally, and team mechanic John Hall. In addition to IFR, TRP’s Nationals athlete line-up includes World Cup downhiller, Bruce Klein; reigning dual slalom National Champion, Luca Cometti and former enduro National Champion, Seamus Powell.

TRP Cycling will preview their yet-to-be-launched TRP DH7 downhill drivetrain and 223/2.3mm brake system. These products were designed from TRP racer wants and needs, while incorporating their feedback from racing on the World Cup. For the event, Brumenschenkel will offer the TRP 223 Pale Ale, which should be drunk in modulation. Again, the first 100 people (over 21) will receive a free 223 pale ale complements of TRP and Hideaway Park Brewery.

On Saturday, July 27th Hideaway Park will coax Transition Cycles’ party out of the woods and into the Brewery; then back out to the woods. Hideaway Park brewery is a Transition Bicycle Demo center and will have Transition’s latest and greatest bikes on display and available to ride. Hideaway Park will offer demo rides of Transition’s trail bikes from 9am to 5pm on Saturday—first come first served. Of course, there’s a beer for this occasion as well, because Brumenschenkel knew he’d need it to pull Transition’s party out of the woods.

On Sunday, September 28th, there’s a reason for a party. Hideaway Park Brewery opens its doors to mountain bike racers in celebration of what was, and to lament what could have been, as the US Mountain Bike National Championships wrap up for another year. Local artists, Moffat Tunnel Band will take over Hideaway Park Brewery’s patio to provide the perfect finale to the weekend.
