Colorado Springs, Colo. (Dec. 2, 2011) — The 2012 USA Cycling Pro Mountain Bike Cross-Country Tour (Pro XCT) has been updated since its initial announcement on Sept. 21. Originally slated to include six dates, the updated calendar will consist of five races.
The US Cup Triple Crown-Fontana will not be inscripted by the UCI in 2012 and will not be on the Pro XCT in 2012.
The Missoula XC in Missoula, Mont., originally inscripted as a UCI 2 has been upgraded by the UCI to 1 and will be held on July 14.
The Pro XCT is slated to begin on March 3 in Dripping Springs, Texas with Mellow Johnny’s Classic before continuing the following week with US Cup Triple Crown – Bonelli Park in San Dimas, Calif. The third race is scheduled to be Ute Valley in Colorado Springs, Colo., before the tour continues on July 14 in Missoula. The tour concludes on Aug. 18 with the Subaru Cup in Mt. Morris, Wisc.
