US Open Registration is Live!

Registration for the US Open of Mountain Biking is now live! Memorial Day weekend is once again going to be synonymous with amazing racing and good times for all. There is an early bird discount thru April 30th and a limited quantity of free Fox Racing US Open t-shirts up for grabs!

This year marks the return of the most prestigious domestic race, and we’ve made some changes to keep the racing as exciting as ever. New for 2017, we’ve added the U14 Super Grom and 35+ O.G. classes to the men’s lineup. We are passionate about building an event that gives the younger racers a spot in the limelight and keeps the seasoned racers stoked on competing. All four Amateur classes will be prized equally, with racers vying for Fox Factory forks, Shimano Saint components, Fox Racing gear, Deity Components and more! In the spirit of the USO, we will also crown a “Fastest of The Day” (aka – FOTD) on top of the category podiums to keep all the Amateurs still racing head to head.

With the Women’s Open presented by Luna this year, we have equalized the premier class prizing with $5000 going to both the top male and female racers! As always, anyone is eligible to enter the Open Classes and take a shot at the money and the glory. Just qualifying to make Sunday’s finals is a part of the prestige that makes the US Open special.

Another addition for 2017 is the US Kids Open. We want this to be a family affair and being able to get the kids out and into the mix is something we feel is paramount to growing the sport and encouraging young riders to give racing a try. The Grom Bomb DH is an event designed to give kids with intermediate skills a taste of what a real downhill race is like. The course starts at mid-mountain and runs an intermediate trail to the base area. A full rundown of all the details can be found on our registration page. Mountain Creek Bike Park and The US Open will be running fun activities for kids all weekend long with Grom-Train group rides, pump track jams, and maybe a skid contest and a little ice cream!

We have partnered with some incredible brands for 2017. Fox Racing, Shimano, GT Bikes, Clif Bar, Luna and Fox Factory have all come on board to help create an amazing event with great prizing.

We will kick things off on May 25th with a Mountain Creek Thursday Night Race and USO Welcome Party with Oskar Blues. Friday evening, we will host a best whip contest presented by Fox Racing and Saturday night we will be running #PartyLaps with Amateur Cooperative. We look forward to seeing you for a weekend of awesome riding and racing with friends!
