Three Rock Components - Everybody loves the Irish!

Three Rock Components are a new mountain bike components brand from Dublin, Ireland. After more than a year of development, we’re happy to announce our first products. Our headline piece is our one-piece stem, built to be lightweight yet tough. Three Rock Components is currently a one-man operation by Eoghan Mulholland, the designer and founder of the brand. After spending time as a designer for a few brands and individuals, Eoghan decided to take that knowledge and experience and put it into his own brand.

‘Founded in 2021, Three Rock Components came from the desire to make my own mark on the cycling industry, rather than simply follow suit. After countless iterations and over a year of testing, we’re ready to launch.

Products like our signature one piece stem, chainrings, seat clamps and bash guards are only going to be the beginning. I won’t be happy to stop until I’ve had a go at everything!

We’re not here to make claims about our products delivering 20% longer manuals or increased backflip rotation speed. We just want to make products that function well and look great at the same time. Everything is sourced as locally as possible to reduce our overall footprint and no detail is left unaddressed. Products are designed and tested in Ireland and currently manufactured in Germany with plans to move production to Ireland in the future. 

‘Product development is a never-ending process and there is always room for refinement. Countless hours have been spent in CAD, developing, testing and optimising designs. My design ethos is to keep everything simple yet elegant and to not overcomplicate a design with unnecessary frills. Form follows function and every product gets rigorously tested through finite element analysis before going into production. Prototypes are then tested for months before going out to the public to ensure the best quality product for riders!’

Every rider should have the options to customise their bike as they wish so all products will be available in 7 different colours. There are plenty of products in the pipeline but here are some details of our first stem:
