We at Qayron Bike are glad to give a warm welcome to a new addition to our team: Adam Semerák of the Loose Riders! In the 2022 season, Adam is a new addition to our Sqadra of riders that consist of our fixed star Dominika Durčáková, Přemek Tejchman, Petr Kraus and Ondra Šenk from Bike O'clock.
Adam is a new member that fits into our team and brings a new “perspective” of riding a big bikes. We are looking forward to working on projects that we intend to get a level up together with Adam and the whole Qayron Sqadra team! We will surely deliver to you some real welcome edit with Adam too. As soon as there will be local trails and jumps ready to shred!
For Adam Semerák, Qayron Bike is not the only new thing in the 2022 season. Cooperating with Czech wholesale and bicycle manufacturer BP Lumen (Qayron Bike, Levit e-bikes, Barta Bike, Top Ride), Adam will be riding a Trek downhill bicycle thanks to Barta Bike and Top Ride stores. His trail bike and DH machine will have components by Reverse Components.
"Adam dares into the largest jumps in the MTB scene, and so logically, we needed to get him the best equipment available. And since Qayron does not offer downhill bicycles, we solved the issue by getting our store involved, and settled on him using a Trek downhill bike with components by Reverse Components. For us and Adam alike, this means even greater number of possibilities to take advantage of in our cooperation. And we are looking forward to it very much!" - Team BP Lumen
Huge jumps, high speed manuals... this is the ride mode for Adam! "Semiš", as is his nickname, is a member of the Loose Riders, and you can meet him at events with some of the biggest jumps in the whole MTB scene!
Adam Semerák
Hi, greetings to everyone! The new year has brought some new expectations and I am glad to have started off into the new season with this sponsor, and I am looking forward to what this cooperation will bring! I am riding Qayron Carma MKII TR Q DPS 27.5 this year. It is a trail bike, and my size is M. The specification is basically “from the box”, I replaced just a few components by Reverse Components. Thanks to guys, my second bike will be a Trek Session C 27.5”, a DH beast with components from Reverse Components again. This is the machine on which I will do big jumps.
I have been aware of the existence of Qayron basically from the moment it was launched, and that is mainly to Přemek Tejchman, whom I have known for quite a long time. I must say that it was mainly thanks to guys from Trutnov Trails (Honza Rejl and Martin Metelka) who arranged a meeting with Qayron for me. Well, we had a chat and there it was, I became a part of the team.
I have been a part of the Loose Riders Global Alliance gang for two years now, and being in it means - among others - as big jumps as possible. I believe that we will be looking at great things, we have many plans to fulfil with guys, and we shall see where we will end up. At the beginning of the season, we are planning to come to the Flat out Days in Slovenia, and I hope I will be one of those invited again. This event will be the base for the whole year ahead.
I have ridden my new bike perhaps three times so far, and I must say that I love it. In brief: It is a lightweight, playful and short bike, which is an ideal combination for me. I am looking forward to ride it in a bike park.
QUICK 5
Favorite bike setup - I like short and fun to ride bikes, which is why I have always had a M size frame with 27.5” wheels. You also need to have narrowish handlebar, short stem, and mainly soft grips. And yes, the shock and fork must have many psi blown in them.
Favorite music - Currently, one of my top favourite songs is this one:
Favorite bike video - RIDE OR DIE // For Riders, By Riders.
Favorite riding place - Kálnica Bikepark. This place is the top venue among the best places in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Jump size, how much is "too much" - Well, it is very individual, I would say. Fifteen metres plus is a lot for me, I reckon. My personal best is 25 metres, but we will see if I manage to get any farther than this.
My main plans in 2022 is Flat out Days in Slovenia. It would be great if I could come to Loosefest in Belgium and Hillbilly Huckfest in Norway. Naturally, I will be present at the Bikefest in Kálnica and I will take part in Qayron team events.
There are many tricks, and equally many events that I would like to appear at. As far as tricks are concerned, I would like to hone my backflip, nacnac, cancan and suicide. And events? Loosefest in Belgium is definitely the one I would love to go to, its my top place to start at, my dream to come true.
See you on the hill, perhaps in the air!
