KEYSTONE, Colo. — May 28, 2014 —With the winter snow giving way to mud season, it’s finally time to start thinking dirt, and Summit County, Colorado’s number one bike park is ready for action beginning Friday, June 13. Keystone Bike Park is gearing up for another great season with a re-designed skills park, the return of the Big Mountain Enduro, new clinic offerings and a new season pass, granting bike enthusiasts access to five amazing parks in three states. Featuring rock gardens, berms, jumps and creative wooden features, riders of all levels can find challenging terrain among Keystone’s 100 miles of lift-serviced single-track.
The FreeRide Unlimited Pass is the newest product offering from Vail Resorts; beginning this season, bikers can enjoy unlimited riding at Keystone, Vail, Northstar, Kirkwood and Canyons on one pass for just $349. Keystone loyalists can also take advantage of the new Keystone FreeRide Local Pass. Offering unlimited riding at Keystone, with five additional days each at Canyons, Northstar and Kirkwood, riders can enjoy their home mountain all season, and partake in a trip to the best parks in Utah and/or California. Both FreeRide Unlimited and FreeRide Local passholders will receive five Bike with a Friend tickets, perfect for sharing their love of the mountain. College students and Military personnel may also take advantage of great pricing and ride Keystone unlimited all season for just $219. Passes are available by calling (800) 842-8062.
Keystone is giving the ladies some special love this season with the new Women’s Wednesday’s weekly bike clinics and the return of the Beti All Ride Skills Clinic. The weekly clinics will be offered Wednesday evenings 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. beginning June 18. For just $30 ladies will receive a bike haul pass (lift ticket), downhill bike rental, protective equipment rental (helmet and pads) and instruction from the industry’s best female instructors. This fun, encouraging environment is open to women of all skill levels, including newcomers to the sport, and demands no long-term commitment. Weekly reservations may be made by calling 970-496-4386.
Ladies can further immerse themselves in the sport with the second-annual Beti All Ride Clinic at Keystone, one of four locations for this two-day ladies-only skills camp. Lead by instructor Lindsey Voreis, a certified skills instructor throughPMBI (Professional Mountain Bike Instruction) andIMBA’s ICP (Instructor Certification Program), Beti attendees will take part in two days of on-and-off mountain activities, clinics and demos aimed at bringing out their inner rider. The Beti All Ride Clinic will return to Keystone June 21-22, dates coinciding with the resort’s infamous Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour festival. Lodging packages are available.
