Mukilteo, WA - Bicycle components manufacturer, Full Speed Ahead (FSA), has hired long-time industry veteran as the head of Mountain Bike Marketing for the Americas. Meredith comes to FSA with over thirty-years’ experience as a professional athlete and as a marketing manager and director at various companies. Meredith will be handling the role from his Southern California location for the time and eventually joining the rest of the FSA team in Mukilteo, Washington.
Meredith’s history in the bicycle industry began back in 1988 when he first began racing BMX and later mountain bikes where he was ranked in the top 10 in California and later went on to achieve top eight ranking in NORBA and 57th on the World Cup for downhill. He has worked for such icons as Marzocchi (on two separate occasions), Specialized Bicycles, Crankbrothers and Strider.
During his tenure, Meredith started and ran his own bicycle brand; One Ghost Industries as well as his own component company; Candy Component Group. His bicycle designs were ahead of the curve of longer/lower/slacker and he designed a multi-pivot “VPP” system that is still in use today by several manufacturers globally.
Mark Vandermolen, FSA’s Managing Director says they are extremely excited to have David join their family as he speaks directly to the core of mountain biking. “David has been part of the very fabric of the sport since the beginning. Having him on board as the face of MTB for us just feels right.”
