Fezzari Releases All-new Solitude Hardtail, Balance of Race and Play

A sub-1000 gram Monoform frame that comes with a Lifetime Warranty.

The new Fezzari XC hardtail features updated geometry paired with groundbreaking Monoform carbon frame technology.

What’s new on this racing machine? An updated “racey-yet-capable” geometry matched with a Monoform single-mold carbon frame. Monoform may be a familiar term to those who have followed Fezzari over the past few years. Monoform is currently featured on Fezzari’s do-it-all road bike, the Empire. Now, for the first time ever, monoform has made its way to the mountains.

But what exactly is Monoform? Monoform is a technology used to create a true single-piece carbon frame. This use of a single mold in place of traditional two piece designs produces a lighter and stronger frame with no bonding and no extra resin. This also allows for more customization of the carbon layup throughout the chain stays and seat stays producing a percussive pedal dynamic and great power transfer.

The seat tube angle of 75 degrees puts you in a powerful pedaling position, 68 degree head tube angle keeps you balanced and stable on XC descents.

Cross-country riding is all about speed and efficient power transfer on the climbs but no one likes to feel like they’re severely limited in capabilities on the way down. XC race courses have evolved and the Solitude has evolved with them. In order to conquer choppier downhill sections that are now frequently seen in XC circuits, the Solitude features a slacker 68 degree head tube angle for more stability on descents but still maintaining quick-corning abilities. A longer reach and shorter chainstays also help perfectly balance the ride.

Reach was lengthened for more comfort and room in the cockpit; this also allows for shorter stem lengths for quicker handling and control. A shorter chainstay length grants the rider the maneuverability to whip around tight switchbacks.

In short, these features work together to create a product that gives you more confidence and stability to fly through chunkier descents even on a hardtail, while still prioritizing pedaling as fast as possible on the uphill.

Whether you’re climbing up or on your way down, on the new Solitude you’re going fast.

Some extra goodies on the Solitude:
