Crested Butte Hosts 5th Annual Fat Bike Worlds on January 24-26

Crested Butte was recognized mere weeks ago by Curbed as the hub of fat biking in Colorado. It should then come as no surprise that the BOREALIS Fat Bike World Championships presented by Ska Brewing event is set each January in that charming little mountain town at the end of the road in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.

Now in its fifth year, the 2020 Fat Bike Worlds are scheduled for Jan. 24-26. The long weekend of events celebrates both fat biking and the winter wonderland that is Crested Butte with races, group rides, demos, expos, live music and–what?!–free Ska beer all day Saturday.

Fat Bike Worlds is tailor-made for elites and amateurs alike. Whether you’re a pro eyeballing the podium or a novice who enjoys pedaling as much as partying, Fat Bike Worlds is a winter biking event not to be missed.

On Saturday, racers can choose between the 5-Lap World Champion Race (32.5 miles) or the 3-Lap Fun Race (19.5 miles). Special racing categories and pricing are available for college and high school students. And new this year: Fat Bike Polo on historic downtown Elk Avenue on Friday night.

Entries are limited. For more information about the 2020 Fat Bike Worlds, visit cbfatbikeworlds.com.
