Cannondale Introduces the All-New Jekyll 8

4-bar high-pivot suspension layout, idler, and size-specific kinematics and geometry - the all-new Jekyll brings a lot to the table.

Even though Jekyll boasts a unique combo of go-fast tech that’s never been seen before, it's not a bike that talks. It’s a bike that goes.

New Cannondale Jekyll At a Glance:

  • Wheel / Tire Size 29x2.5” (F) 2.4” (R)
  • Travel:165mm rear / 170mm front
  • Unique suspension layout
  • Suspension kinematics and geometry optimized by size
  • High pivot, 4 bar suspension system. The high pivot gives a rear wheel axle path that helps the rear wheel react by getting up and out of the way. It is paired with an idler pulley, which Cannondale calls the Guidler because it includes a chain guide. The Guidler isolates the suspension from the drivetrain

Suspension Like No Other

High main pivot gives it a bump-swallowing rearward axle path. Shock placement in the down tube keeps the weight low. The 4-bar linkage keeps braking smooth, traction high and pedaling crisp.

Proportional Response Suspension

A rider's center of gravity drives how the suspension performs, yet most bikes use the exact same suspension layout for all sizes. We optimize the suspension kinematics by size for next-level ride quality and performance.

Guidler

Idler pulley + chainguide = Guidler. Clever, right? Idler eliminates feedback from the high pivot swingarm, keeping your pedal stroke smooth, even when the terrain isn't. The guide, well, it guides.

Proportional Response Geometry

Long, slack and low – and fully size-specific. As the front of the bike gets longer with each size, the chain stay length increases proportionally, keeping the rider centered between the wheels for true “made for you” handling.

Shock/Frame Guard

Special downtube protector keeps your shock and frame safe from roost and strikes, plus lets cool air in and water and crud out.

The Ai Advantage

Our Ai Offset Drivetrain delivers more tire and mud clearance in the swingarm, and more even spoke angles for a stiffer, stronger rear wheel.
