In 2011, Aaron became the first person ever to win five World Cups in a single season. He claimed the overall series title that year and became a household name for those who love DH racing. With 20 World Cup race wins, five World Cup overall series titles and eight US National Championships to his name, Aaron is truly one of the greatest and revered downhill racers of all time.
Fans know and admire Aaron for his tenacity and drive. As the years past, Aaron has had to overcome adversity and injuries and in so, driven excitement and awe around his career and talent as he challenged himself to win year after year.
Now fully fit with injuries behind him, “Going for Six” will be developed for Aaron’s fans and cycling enthusiasts around the globe, showcasing the highs and lows of a pro-racer’s experiences over the course of the 2022 World Cup competitive season. The series will cover Aaron’s racing journey, review his racing history, his work ethic – is not necessarily about the WIN, but the EXPERIENCE – and the significance of what is means to compete as a World Cup Downhill Racing athlete.
Viewers will be provided with an intimate perspective of Aaron’s intent, dedication, athleticism, and techniques. With a variation of settings before, during and after races, audiences will experience first-hand, the day-and-day out, bits and pieces of a DH racer’s drive towards top of the podium. During the setup of the series, Aaron will go over an assortment of elements and scenarios of a racer in training - such as work outs, product choices, training, utilization of his mechanic, team relationships, conditioning, technique, pro tips, product solutions, health and emotional needs, competitor insights, course analysis and logic, and more.
These key elements will make-up the thematic thread for the series and provide a 360-degree viewpoint of a WC racer’s life. Aaron is the driver of the content and will dictate the story as we all follow along. Six episodes will be created during the 2022 WC series.
