Someone else said he rolled out of the start gate and pulled off. If he did, that explains how he's automatically in with his protected status. I didn't notice him practicing in the videos. But I also wasn't expecting him and would have assumed he was Finn or Grice

Any clue on where each split is? Is 1 all the way through the new top section? Want to figure out who got that right.

Can you guys update this page with the Start List? I was just reading it and trying to make sense of the two sheets. Especially the part where it shows Bruni in the official start list despite not doing a qualifier (or did he roll out the gate?)

I'm confused with protected riders.
Greenland way outside top 60, but is protected.

Minnar is protected top 20, but he qualified 18th. Why ar GM and Laurie moved to a better start than FrixFirix and Gwin who qualified 16th and 17th? Same with Suarez, Brosnan & Hart.

I thought protected riders were put in between 20th & 21st qualifier.
But if I read that correctly, all of the protected riders are slid in between 15th & 16th place qualifiers.

How bad does that suck to be Frixtalon qualifying 16th.
He qualifies two spots faster than GM, but GM gets to start 26 minutes later in the day.
For those who aren't familiar with the significance, in Elite or Pro racing, the later in the day on a dry mountain, the drier the course is. The grass, the roots...all of it. But then the biggest advantage is that the later you get to start, the cleaner the main race line is. Junior Women, Junior Men & Elite Women almost take varying lines on race day.

But Elite Men burn in a main line as the day dries and by the time the top 20 leave the gate, it's a faster track.
You can get a few random things pulled into or out of the course, but it's seldom.

26 minute start gate advantage for a guy who finished 2 places behind you in qualifying. Crazy.

6 US riders make it into the finals
Chris Grice makes (I think his first) Elite Finals
Neko with maybe a wreck up top?

Dak putting Vee Tires into 2nd
10th for a guy named Pau Monoyo out of nowhere?
Brendog & Dean Lucas of Scott both miss the cut?
Laurie doing fine on all splits but disappears at the final split? Big off on the high speeds? Or a slow flat?
Lot of top guys miss the cut: Wyn Masters, Ethan Craik, Taylor Vernon, Greg Williamson, Max Hartensen
Any of these guys other than Laurie a protected rider and will be in the finale tomorrow?
