It was a dry, dusty, and blown out track that greeted the competitors for the 2017 French DH Championships in Les Carroz. There was early drama when George Brannigan (who was on hand to serve as track opener, since he is not French and thus was not participating in the actual race) crashed in practice, breaking his collarbone putting him out for the rest of the season. After that, it was business as usual for Loic Bruni and Myriam Nicole who both won with convincing margins. Great confidence builder for Mont-Sainte-Anne where the World Cup hostilities will resume next week.
