moir testing with rockshox/sram. i'd have to imagine they're pretty careful about showing anything we haven't seen or would care about, but sleuths get in there. he's not shy about new axs stuff, you cann see the code calipers pretty good, but anythiing else in this vid?
Looks like a very lively -or should I say vivid- suspension setup
I'm very curious about the dual-button left-hand AXS remote. I don't have my hopes up for a new Reverb AXS that can go both directions (I would love to see that happen though), but I'm also not seeing anything that looks like Flight Attendant. Maybe it's just for extra programmability (e.g., one button could be a secondary up- or downshift, or maybe the two buttons could be different return speeds for the dropper).
That reverb which goes automatically up and down would be a bummer.
Depending on how it's made, it could be that the left hand and right hand remote is the same and you can just flip it upside down, thus reducing stock/inventory. I haven't looked that closely at the images of both sides so someone tell me if I'm wrong though.
It could be that they're allowing you to make it like the road shifters where one side goes up the cassette and the other side goes down. There's also an option to have it control something external like how buttons on Di2 Dura Ace can control lights that are paired to a Garmin computer. I suppose it could communicate with an eMTB and change assistance levels, especially if SRAM does release its own motor soon. Maybe they're waiting for a 'complete' SRAM eMTB with full integration (including new brakes with headset cable routing) to launch it all?
The extra button could also let someone riding a flat bar with road/gravel double chainrings shift the front mech. I'm thinking something along the lines of Spesh's Diverge Evo flat bar, which would also follow the trend of gravel bikes just becoming early 2010s XC bikes.
P.S.: I fully expect ridicule for combining somewhat absurd thoughts on eMTBs, headset cable routing, plus flat-bar 'gravel' bikes in the same post.
It's programmable to whatever you want it to do. Probably just using one button on the left side right now (for dropper) until the have the wireless suspension products ready to roll.
More knowledgable people might be able to spot some stuff when the suspension tech is working in the van re: fork dampers? Or shock? Not sure what he's working on there.
Update: I have paid for my sins, I had an ad for a gravel e-bike come up while browsing to Vital
