New guy here. Thinking I’m going to switch from running to trail riding. Mostly because I don’t feel like running anymore after work with all the steps I put in at work and this will be easier on my feet (hoping I don’t crash too often because I’m getting old (47) lol)
Just got an older (mid 90’s I think?) used GT Tempest All Terra that has been upgraded. It has a RockShox Judy fork. Not sure what other information is available. Tried to look up the serial number on the shocks and bike but didn’t come up with anything. Tried the RockShox lookup website also. Just curious if it’s adjustable in any way in order to set it up. The guy I bought it from said it was rebuilt a couple years ago. Also any beginner tips or info about my bike (which I haven’t found much information about either) are appreciated. TIA
The serial number is: 014E100944
Take it to a shop and have it looked over. Other than that, just ride it. It's a pretty old bike and not worth upgrading. Use it to find out if you like mountain biking. If you do, buy a newer bike. If you don't, you aren't out much money.
As for suspension, you can play with any rebound or compression adjustments it has. Again, I wouldn't spend any money on it as it is really old.
