R/C or robotic heavy equipment isn't new (queue turman!), but how long before Vital can rent this stuff have it build a trail with inputs pulled from our forums while we make clickbait thumbnails? If it's AI, will it just make trails based on the most popular YouTube videos?
I foresee endless algorithm sections.
If humans are already good at building the same blue flow trail everywhere, think about how much better AI will be at it! SO MUCH BLUE FLOW
Ha! Funny thread. The good (I think?) news is AI seems markedly further behind in robotics compared to software.
While I'm sure we'll see more nanny features in every machine based in software, and they'll be some interesting applications of "AI AR", the idea that the robots are just going to take over and start doing stuff seems a lot further off than OpenAI may have you believing.
Even with my sense of humour I'd refrain from calling any autonomous machine Rogue. Maybe I have watched/read too much science fiction...
If it could read the terrain and be like hmmm......"if you bench this section too much or try to carve 13 berms back to back it will just collect water or erode super fast" and maybe guide the process it could be pretty useful!
Keep Clippy out of trail building!
I'd be ok with little helper bots tho. Digger bot, go find some good dirt and grab me a beer while your at it!
