I would Austin Dooley for Mondraker, I think he could be a good fit. He is a great and talented boy, he has done well in races in the USA and this year in Les Gets he got a good result in a difficult race.

Just saw a post today saying max contract nba player earns about 600k per game... on the other hand, how many sports can say we are fueled by passion 😆

70m a year

192k a day

$133 PER FUCKING SECOND LOL
He takes a shit and get's payed more than an elite top 10 rider in that time.
edit - I am a pelican that cant math, refer below.
8k/hour / 60mins = 133 per minute. 133/minute / 60 seconds = $2.22 per second

I was wondering earlier today when I saw the FMD thing made official if we're on the brink of seeing more corporate teams. Like why would a brand want to run a team when you could just contract local rich guy who likes bikes (yes, more popular in western Canada than many other places). I'm pretty sure GM owns that Norco team and MS has been running this way forever. If I was a brand why would I want to hire a team of bike industry people to try and run a team when I could go find a rich person who wants to have some fun and go to Europe a few times a summer. Have them bank roll some non bike people to potentially make the team profitable, if it's not profitable they'll at least get to write off their Europe trips and pay less income tax at the end of the year because they "reinvested assets".

Actually, a lot of WC DH teams are like that.. Pivot and Specialized are both like that. It's more common than you think.
Apparently Brage Vestavik and YT (- the bike brand Young Talent, not YouTube) have been talking. I can't tell you what came of it, if anything...

$100k is barely a rounding error in most pro sports.
Top road cycling teams have a budget in 50-60 M region. One such team could run the whole UCI DH circus. 30 M for, say, SC, Trek, Spez and Muc-Off, 30 M for the rest.

I would doubt SC, Trek, Spec and Muc-Off would have a combined total budget of over $12 million a year. I'd wager the entirety of the UCI DH teams, combined, would be below $30 million.

Most of the World Tour level road teams have outside sponsors that help foot those bills. Heck, most of the time, the bike brand is listed 2nd or 3rd on the team name..
Had a quick scan through the UCI rankings to see if any riders with a few points were so far unlinked with moves .
Based on this cursory glance I'm going to predict Greg Williamson and Henry Kerr to join up with Reece Wilson on his Gamux team .

FMD officially off Canyon (pls say I'm first ahahah)
I just seen this on instagram and came here to post it… you win!
Dont forget Sloane. She provided some good info last year 😂
Millie on a west coast American brand
A top female rider won’t have a ride in her discipline
Several teams after the rubber band bonus
Hmm is this the beginning of the end of derailleurs in DH?
Mille to intense
Cam Balanche racing a rebranded commençal?
Perhaps a reference to enduro, Hattie Harden moving to dh or xc?
Balanche to yeti with RR
Hattie on a belt drive DH bike?
MUTN suggested she's going to Reese's Gamux/(maybe)Lotus team

lmao maths was never my strong point, either way shit is ridiculous.
However, most of that money comes at the end of his contract.. They pulled some tricks to get around the salary cap..
I think Mille would fit in well with the YT crew. Maybe since Sian isn't doing world cups this year?
2 canyon riders off the enduro team and Jessie doing a few DH at the end of last year, any chance Canyon is getting rid of the enduro team?
Wouldn't bet against it at this stage, given how UCI/Ballbag have shafted the series.
Remy off Giant for 25' to make way for the Jewett Bros? Luke for now is to Remain on the Team

With Bienve

A little different than the usual but seems noteworthy; Keegan Swenson off Garmin:
Him and Finsty are also off Blenders eyewear so I guess relatively major sponsor changes in the gravel/lifetime/american xc endurance world
