The main reason I keep suggesting there won't be an elite MS Intense is speculation on my part that Intense does not have that extra cash flow at the moment. Perhaps there is nice cooperation between MrMS and Intense or they are working on some collab; i just do not see it being a full blown WC team.
I've been suggesting Dak is on Mondraker...what three riders would occupy this MS Intense team if Dak is not one of them?

Pure speculation, but would it not cost considerably less for a brand to supply frames to the MS team (MS Intense) instead of being the title team sponsor and owner(I.e Intense Factory Racing)?
Intense are just about to release the updated M1, so surely they need to keep it at the world cups for marketing?
Would being a frame sponsor for a team like MS not be the best way to do that when money is tight?
greg minnaar on norco official. here's our interview w/ him yesterday.

It sounds like GM is absolutely stoked on the bike and the engineers behind it. He talked a lot about having a racing mindset embedded within the team too.
He sounds very very confident coming into this season.

I haven't seen Greg that excited in a while. Great interview. I bet the resumes are pouring into the Source. Will really be interesting to see how this goes.

You're not wrong.
Gwin is probably among the most expensive athletes in the business, and then for him to run his own team is a premium on top of that.
...but if Intense came to Gwin and said "ya too rich" - why would he choose becoming a free agent over lowering his price? Why would he let MS Racing swoop in to steal his thunder? Unless they are joining forces...

I don't know. I also have heard from many people in the business that qualitatively, having racers on a world cup team does not amount to as many sales as you think. The costs of putting frames on a team etc might even out what you sell. Look at Revel for example, sell many many bikes...no world cup team.
I am certain another example is mondraker the last few years. No one was like, I'm stoked on that mondraker world cup squad, I'm buying that bike.
Unfortunately, i guess, sales fall into the marketing/influencer/review bucket. Then there is price and availability.
I think the exception might be Commencal and maybe Canyon...but it's probably not a coincidence that they are the big direct to consumer brands. The flip side is GT, and what they did with Wyn last year.
All that mumbling to suggest, I do not think Intense would have a great ROI for giving a team their frames.
Re: GOAT - props to whoever dug up and posted about the Gwen Van Lingen hire in the Norco marketing dept. Sounds like she was the catalyst for this relationship.
looks like john hall is still with intense… so the rumors he‘s staying with them in a bigger technical role might be real… weird possibly seeing gwin without him in his pits.

Is there a possibility of both MS Intense and IFR this year? It would explain why Trummer and Breeden have both been on M1s with different suspension, with IFR on Ohlins and MS on Fox. This would be in line both with what Intense is speccing on their bikes and what the MS team has been running recently, respectively. It would be sick seeing some other brands have multiple teams besides Commencal in my opinion, especially if one of them is Intense given that they have become a bit of an underdog company compared to what they used to be. Then again I am not sure how it would work financially, because if they are indeed not doing so well as a company, this would obviously be potentially quite risky. I think I can see it happening though given what we've seen so far
Any guesses on the IFR blacked out racers? There is a woman there, also someone that looked very simmilar to Joe bredeen.
I'm saying: Lou Ferguson (the hat/long af hair is very distinctive), Oscar Griffiths (his bro Felix is in CA as noted in this thread earlier, and insta stories showed Oscar was there too, he's just left his team from 23). The other two....Joe Breeden (also from said insta stories), not sure about the guy in the white top...?

The GOAT joins NFR whoop whoop 🙌
I know it was already posted previously but had to get in on the excitement lol 😂

Well, I guess that's all folks. G'night, see ya next year.
Anyone else notice both Fox and RS suspension?
So component sponsors are not yet set in stone?
Anyone know where Mark Wallace is going? Sounds like it’s just Gracey and Lucas left with Greg on the norco team
the first question and answer in our video is about that.

Announcement obviously coming ……
we all know the struggles of getting those bars in the back so they fit.
Aaron really upping his social media trolling game lol
Or the IG account went back to Intense when the team closed down.
Yea that would probably make sense. Intense probably owns the IFR name.
Giant has confirmed their roster for 2024....largely unchanged, but with one new addition on the Enduro side.
DHI: Luke and Remy Meier Smith (AUS), Rémi Thirion (FRA)
EDR: Youn Deniaud (FRA), Sascha Kim (AUS).
looks like john hall is still with intense… so the rumors he‘s staying with them in a bigger technical role might be real… weird possibly seeing gwin without him in his pits.
I think Greg just sold me a Norco

Ryder Lawrence is highly likely to be one of them
