Out of interest is anyone else having difficulties when clicking on notifications for this thread? It seems I have to click on it 4 or 5 times before it brings me here. It started a few days ago and I don't have the same trouble with any of the other thread notifications I receive.

No he always rides a little bike in the winter and is just trolling like usual.

I found that it just doesn’t register for about 10-15 seconds. I was clicking multiple times, but also tried just clicking and waiting once and now that works every time. It’s odd for sure.

On the subject of Dunne at Dyfi the other day, Pinky put a post up on his insta last night showing off some new Shimano shoes....

EDIT - Note the chain stay protector on his bike, and frame angles by his heel, also possible frame wrap on the down tube?.....which looks familiar and could further suggest where he's probably heading this year. He and Dunne also rocking the same Alpinestars jacket and lid from recent insta posts and the Dyfi scrub shot.

I can't explain the situation with Dak and his recent post re the Intense jump bike, so guess we'll have to see, but I strongly suspect he will not be on an Intense M1 come Fort Bill in May. ITFR has said they won't be on Intense Cycles in 24 which potentially paves the way for MS to become MS Intense, but not a "Factory" team in name. I heard word that MS was parting ways with Mondraker in mid October with Zerode and Intense being possible new frame sponsors. Trummer has been pretty quiet from what I've seen on socials about any moves, but given he's still got MS Mondraker Team on his bio and has been seemingly spotted on board an Intense at Dyfi last week, it could be coincidence but...

Is it just me who'd love to see the cryptic cartoons and doodles from the vital team rumours of old much more.....they were fun Laughing

Think that might just be VHS Slapper Tape, which can be put on any bike, so it doesn't really narrow it down

Yeah I hear ya.....it could well be man. I also looked at the frame, with what little of it we can see, and put bits together. Of course, it's not conclusive. I updated the last post.

At the end of the day, wherever all the riders we chat about end up, I'm sure they'll be great moves. I think wherever Pinkerton ends up, he'll be a real threat.

The angle of the chain at the top/front of the chainring looks like there’s an idler pulley involved.

Possibly, Mondraker has experimented with idlers on their old Summums. It's tricky to be definitive with the photo cropped the way it is eh.

C'mon teams, just put us all out of our misery for gods sake, haha

Well it is for sure not the carbon frame, chain stay too small.

Don't know why they would have a new signing on the alloy model?

Came here to share that and saw that somebody disregarded it as grandfather's contract and so on.

I don't think that's just disrespectful, but it's also missing the point.

The man is sponsored almost his whole adult life and complete professional career by the same brand and just enleghtend gis contract, all while the industry is in awe about stormy waters and dropped pros. Why is that? Because he is Hans? Because he knows the right people, has ties? I don't know, but he said himself in an interview (probably in an older podcast on this very site) that the reason he is sponsored for such a long time, is that he knows what's worth to a company and how to deliver it, and how to put the work in. In a time when almost the whole internet consists about the latest fart somebody caught on insta-book, imo it goes to show how a sponsor-athlete relation can work and what it's about. And probably more interestingly, about what it's not. The man is 57 years old (had to Google it) and is riding his bike for a living. And even more impressingly he's still got it. I remember vividly a "game of bike" he played with his fellow gt-athletes during the covid lock-downs - and he (old-)schooled them with his trials skills.

I might be a little biased (just recently got a free GT Smile but I think the point still stands. Anyways, I am very delighted to hear that announcement. Good on you GT!

You can ride on a Mondraker, on a team, and not be on MS, just saying.

Pretty sure Pinky has just been riding his GT, still. Looked like that was what he was on in some recent riding clips in his and other people’s stories.

MS doesn’t make bikes, they’re just the racing team name. Mondraker is the bike manufacturer. Incase you didn’t know, hope that didn’t come across as mean.

Would be pretty awesome if Pinky stayed on Wyn’s GT team.

i think we all know he's moving on, just saying that pic isnt necessarily his new ride.  why don't you give us a nice little inside hint,  I mean, I helped build and maintain so many aliso laguna trails since 2000 that I kinda feel like you owe me    LaughingLaughing    from all evidence it's Mondraker so congrats to him, can't wait to watch him kill it next year!

that's going to be such a sick team to root for, I'm actually looking forward to fantasy team DH next year!  However, it would have been way cooler if they were on Intense M1's, just sayin.

I did know cheers, and no it didn't come across as mean....I'm jus pretty lame at putting sentences togetherLaughingI was a proud owner of a Monny enduro a while back until some knobhead pilfered it. What I was trying to get across was that Mondraker and the team were trying out idlers on their carbon Summums a couple years ago.

I wish I could, it’s been very hard to keep quiet. Thank you for supporting Ryan and all your trail work!!!
