In that price range I'd go either used:
https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/2294699/

Or if new is really your thing:
https://www.canyon.com/en-pt/mtb/grand-canyon/grand-canyon-al-6-0.html

The Canyon seems to have a better build to me. I'd stay clear of the Suntour XCR fork and Tektro brakes on the Nuke Proof, The Marquette (which I never heard of) has a better spec than the Nukeproof, but lower than the Canyon.

The used Kona, on the other hand, trumps them all.

I vote for the Scout. Fat and Plus sized tires are for the slow folks, looking to make going slow more exciting with squirmy flat tires that make boring rides life threatening. Come to the fast side...

I have a Scout 27.5.
Love it. It's a great do it all bike.
I've got 150mm forks on it and it can handle heaps.
Great geometry. Long, low and slack.
A really good hardtail. I'm a fan.
If you ride aggressive then you should give it a whirl. I'm 6'3" and went the XL frame but they are long in the front end.
I have no experience with fatbikes or plus tyres so can't compare them but feel pretty confident that you'll get some good times out of the Scout.

Another vote for the Scout - never seen or heard of Framed bikes before (presume they are US only). Nukeproof are obviously proven on the world stage under some extremely fast riders, and I know of several fast guys local to me who have a choice of bikes and love their Scouts - great spec, well designed.

Between the two, I'd choose that Scout any day. The components and geometry are far more dialed than the Framed bike.

ok well looks like every one is saying buy the nuke-proof but i just realized that i have to pay $100 for shipping.

also i did some research on framed and there factory is 20 miles from my house so i dont have to pay shipping
so im probably going for the crapper one because its $100 cheaper. thanks everyone but im going for my financial choice. anyway its still going to be better than my diamondback (hopefully)
ill also do a update on how it goes

Consider taxes as well. You may not have to pay those through Chain Reaction.

To throw a spanner in the bath.

I'd only buy a Plus hardtail. Hardtails are harsh garbage with zero rear grip so the more compliant the tires the better. Plus on a HT makes a load of sense.

I would buy a used Specualized Fuse or something.

Doesn't seem to bother these gents, though they are riding well above the capabilities of most:

Plus-size tires are a good stepping stone for novice to intermediate riders, but odd rebound characteristics, floppy sidewalls in the turns/jumps, and poor flat protection make them a poor choice for a "really aggressive" rider, imo. The Scout has 2.6-inch Maxxis Minions on a 29mm inner width rim, a far better option for those really putting a hardtail to good use.

Nonsense!

2.8" Butcher Grids are just fine on a hardtail. The increase in small bump grip is night and day over 2.3/2.5".

Watch this test. The bigger the tires get the better the hardtail.

I'm sure they are. Those aren't what are being compared, however.

Exhibit A:

Exhibit B:

Which would you choose? That's the OP's question.

So, I want to buy a Scout. That video has me convinced. It will match my TR Scout nicely...

The nuke proof all day.

What is up with the neck on the Framed? Honestly looks like a bike you would find at a Dicks Sporting Goods or Walmart.

Nukeproof has a proven track record, that $100 difference will be eaten up in upgrading parts if you get the Framed.
