What's up everyone. New to the MTB scene (Ridden Moto for years). Looking for any suggestions you guys might have with my new bike I just picked up this weekend.

Rad ride. It's difficult to tell if you have a clutched derailleur or not, but if not consider one. It'll quiet down chain slap a lot.

If it wasn't done recently by the previous owner, consider a suspension service. Beyond that, ensure your spring rates are dialed and let 'er rip!

Sweet rig! If you don't like the feel or power of the brakes you can switch those out and possibly make a big difference without spending too much money. But, if you like the brakes and they don't cause trouble, I'd say keep them. One thing that will make the bike perform a great deal better is some suspension tuning. I would bet that the previous owner wasn't the exact same size/ weight as you, so there are probably some improvements to be had there. There are plenty of tutorials on youtube that will walk you through the process. Other than that, just ride it!

Don't be afraid to experiment with bar roll, lever position, different grips as well as suspension settings. They can make all the difference in the world, so keep trying and you'll find what works for you
