I am a school student who is trying to pay for passion of mountain biking however my parents are building a house and will need the money for that over the next 2 years. This will not allow for them to support me any more and all the parts or upgrades will have to be funded by me which is hard when you are still in a boy still in school. I have work on bikes since i was 5 and now am 15 so have some knowledge. I am puzzled as how to do a bike cleaning business from my shed when there are 2 bikes shops in town, Could anyone help me as what i should do??

I don't want to crap on your idea because it's great to see an entrepreneurial spirit in a teenager. However, I don't think this is the winning idea you have envisioned. Starting a business is hard. Consider:

How many people do you think are willing to pay to have someone else wash their bikes instead of doing it themselves?
Of those people, how many would pay you to do it?
Of those people, how many would be willing to pay you what you need to cover your costs and make a profit?
What would those costs be? (Supplies, time, etc.)

Once you have figured out how much AUS you could earn per bike, how many washes would it take per week/month/year to pay for your needs?

If I were you, I'd start a business doing a different service that more people need: washing cars, for instance. Or maybe mowing lawns, yard work? Or, the holy grail: get a job at one of those bike shops - you'll earn money and probably get a parts discount while you're at it. When I was your age, I worked at a trailer manufacturing business cleaning up trash and sweeping the assembly floor. It was tough work and didn't pay much but I had my own money and it did me well. (And helped me buy a motorcycle!)

Either way, good on you for not leaning on your parents too much. I like your attitude. Good luck!

I'm opening my own business, so it would be great if you shared your experience.

I should say, the process turned out to be more complicated than I expected. There are so many things to learn and figure out. Currently, I'm struggling to understand what is product matching and how I can use it to benefit my business.

But still, I'm sure that running a business and being my own boss is much better than working in the office the whole life and not liking it.
