Minion vs HR widths

I'm looking for a new tyre to replace my old High roller II on the rear. Most of what I do is generally fairly dry and firm and heading to finale in a couple of weeks too so was thinking the minion DHR II would be a good replacement. The 2.4 HR is a good fit on the back of my Capra but the 2.4 DHR is designed for wide rims which I don't have. That leaves either a 2.3 or a 2.5. How do the widths compare between the minion and HR? Maxxis aren't really consistent with other brands but are they at least consistent across models? I'm thinking the 2.5 is going to be too tight but having seen the 2.3 on a mates bike, it looked a bit on the skinny side. Cheers
