Would like to stay under $2K maybe $2,500. Of course if it's less great. Interested in used as well as new.

I do a lot of single track local trails. I think the rear suspension would help my lower back which occasionally bothers me. This Motobecane seems to have pretty decent components for $1,600 whats your opinion.

hey gary,

i don't really think you'd get a lot of fun or use out of that motobecane. it looks awkward w/ poor geometry and cheap components. i'm surprised it costs so much. that looks like a $500-700 bike.

a quick look online turned up the following bikes...i'm sure there are more out there too.

YT has this Jeffsy in stock in XL at $1950 - super fun bike with some good parts on it and dialed geometry. i'd jump on this as their stock is usually pretty limited. it's mailorder, so it'd be shipped to you.

this specialized (in size XL) is $1650 and i'd wager it would be a lot more fun and go further than the motobecane. you'd probably have a lot easier time w/ any support issues. you have to buy from a specialized dealer.

this trek is just over $2k and looks nice and again, you'd be pretty dialed w/ support from trek dealers but you have to buy from one.

i'm sure there are plenty of other brands w/ bikes in that price range and the used market is probably full of good bikes at that price, size XL will probably be the challenge.
