I think the vast majority would like to see the build go the other way - the cheapest build, but with reliability.

-THE downhill carbon rotor covers (i saw a pair on craiglist a month ago) $30

-lizard skins brake levers velcros. $10
-lizard skins headseat velcro. $10
-all mounstain style frame guards $50
-Kcnc pulley wheels for rear derrailleur $ 15 (x2)
-kcnc pulley wheels bolts $ 5 (x2)
-XON cable guides $10

-ti bolts all over the bike $200

we've gone that route in the past with the airborne DH bike
http://www.vitalmtb.com/features/Vital-MTB-Value-DH-Project-Building-Th…

and we put this together too (which probably isn't very accurate anymore, but...)
http://www.vitalmtb.com/features/Brand-New-Bargain-Bike-26-inch-160mm-t…

we'll continue to pursue budget build projects for sure.

Looks like you only budgeted for one tire...?
Nice catch. Added another tire to the total as well as the power meter and imprint grips.

We can't go this deep and not get name stickers on it at the very least! $19.98 for your name here's here: http://www.velostickers.com/collections/semi-custom/products/pro-tour

Still looking for custom stickers for the frame or fork!

*Edit*: Throw on some custom stickers for the rims too! $60 for a set of 4 here, http://fanatikbike.com/product/enve-m-series-custom-rim-decals-12810.htm

cranks go to Clavicula. They extremely hard to track down these days and even more rare in a 83mm size.
They were sold for 999€ ($1084) but you can find them for 700 Euros these days, abeit being 73mm... if you want to be realistic.

THM Clavicula DH Cranks: $1084
THM bottom bracket (ceramic hybrid) $211
Carbon-Ti X-Ring MTB Ti/Ca 32 x 104 $215
Rockbros Ti chainring bolts $40

total for just a crankset= $1550

also these rotors please! ($198 each)

And HOLLY MOLLY 800 for pulley, are they for real? :D
Those pulley wheels are the real deal, admittedly not N/W but hell it can't hurt right?

Good stuff but we've got the Shimano power meter crankset on there which is upwards of three-grand and a $300 ceramic BB already, too.

As for the rotors, they're not available in 200mm, unfortunetly. Would have been a nice addition otherwise!

Keep checking!

What about adding a steering damper? Not sure how much they cost but could add a bit to the total...
http://www.cambriabike.com/Hopey-Steering-Damper-HSHYSDS.asp

found a cost for the steering damper and its worth adding I think...

$229.95

"Downhill racers experience enhanced stability, improved cornering, and a far less fatiguing ride. This is because the steering damper absorbs the hits that throw the bike off line. XC riders and Roadies share the same benefits, plus, find that the damper helps with climbing. Technical climbs are easier, you hold your line and won't need to step off as often."

If you find it, I will add it.
I sent them an email, will see what comes out of this Smile
edit: Got reply in 5 min, they are only available in 180mm though...

I was trying to find some precedence as I saw a Shimano tec run it. Finally did,

Let's make this happen! XTR di2 w/short cage conversion off a saint derailleur, then we get the cost of the battery, shifter, display, rear mech, wires, junction box. I don't know how open everyone is to hacking stuff together.

Topcap? Bar end plugs?

Perhaps some of those silicon strap on plant pots at $90 a shot.
