I need help! Want dj bike and struggling to decide

I've got a couple of options in mind
NS Metropolis 3
DMR Reptoid
I was also looking at Commencal Absolut AL but it's a slight stretch of budget.
Can some people tell me what they think, what the quality of them are like, and/or provide other options?
Cheers
I'm new as fark btw

I love my DMR Trailstar, for what it's worth. Although, it's not exclusively a DJ. I had a hard time finding the geo on the Reptoid, it's weird that they don't show it on the website.

The NS has pretty crazy geo... mad short chain stays (15.0") will make it super flickable... but if you're super new to DJ, you might find it too unstable. It's also a cromo (vs the alu DMR), so it'll be heavier- while having a little more compliance (which isn't necessarily a deal breaker, but something to be considered).

What's the cost difference between the two?

Tell ya, I always loved my GT Ruckus DJ, before it was stolen Sad You should look into one, the geo is a little less aggressive, but it's still a fun bike, at a very reasonable cost. I'd also suggest looking for a used bike vs. new.

I sorta understand what you mean by geo, but the fact it's a completely new bike I feel like that won't be a major factor considering I'm new to the experience. I don't mind falling off, and it's a given. So will geometry be such a bug factor considering it's all new to me?

What is the differences between the cromo vs aluminum? What do you feel would be a wiser frame to start with?

The commencal is about 300 more than the ns and dmr. Has anyone had experience on these?

I had a look at the ruckus but I like the idea of front shocks, sounds more forgiving if I mess up a jump.

I was gonna come out earlier with the "Steel is real." and the fact that shorter chain stays are far superior in all applications. Flickable is good. Stability is in the front. Ride your bike. I'd say rock that Metropolis.

From what I've read NS has a decent rep, good starting point you'd say?

I think with shipping we wouldn't be able to make a deal, for the money it would cost go get yourself a new bike and have fun with it!
