Hey dudes and dudettes... Just got a new house and more importantly a new garage. Finally have the chance to set one up. We've got 4 bikes (looking to make room for 6 hoping we'll get more.. haha) and I'd like to hang them up some way so they're out of the way and we can just walk up and grab one - no fuss. Was thinking of this way below.
How do you guys do it?
How do you guys do it?
I've been doing a lot of work on my garage lately, and regularly have to store upwards of 10 bikes (for 3 people). I use a combination of hooks hanging from the rafters for all the road / lighter bikes, and for the bigger bikes I just leaned a pallet at close to a 45* angle to the wall with every other slat removed. Stuck a few screws in the top to keep it secured to the wall. It works perfectly to hold 5 bikes.
tip: install the upper board and hooks to allow for the longest wheelbase bike you have. I missed that detail and my DH bike hangs off the wall sort of wonky.
I also have a feedback sports RAKK that I won in a raffle. Love that thing. It holds the bike that gets the most use, usually the trail bike.
