How do you store your bikes?

Hey dudes and dudettes... Just got a new house and more importantly a new garage. Finally have the chance to set one up. We've got 4 bikes (looking to make room for 6 hoping we'll get more.. haha) and I'd like to hang them up some way so they're out of the way and we can just walk up and grab one - no fuss. Was thinking of this way below.

How do you guys do it?

My set up is similar to the above. I have mine staggered though so I can hang up to 10 bikes. The lighter road bikes are hung on the higher hooks and the mountain bikes down low. Between the wife and I we have 9 bikes total so need the room. I also go sturdier hooks so the bikes can hang off the ground opening up the space below to store things.

Check out this thread that was posted awhile back. Some pretty rad ideas in there.

I've been doing a lot of work on my garage lately, and regularly have to store upwards of 10 bikes (for 3 people). I use a combination of hooks hanging from the rafters for all the road / lighter bikes, and for the bigger bikes I just leaned a pallet at close to a 45* angle to the wall with every other slat removed. Stuck a few screws in the top to keep it secured to the wall. It works perfectly to hold 5 bikes.

I used to use a similar arrangement but twice as dense, Go to bikes front wheels up. And the lesser used bikes in between hung by their rear wheels. But yes. See that other post for more options. Mine are currently in the chicken coup.Standing room only.

that's exactly how my wall is set up.
tip: install the upper board and hooks to allow for the longest wheelbase bike you have. I missed that detail and my DH bike hangs off the wall sort of wonky.
I also have a feedback sports RAKK that I won in a raffle. Love that thing. It holds the bike that gets the most use, usually the trail bike.
