Hey there mate,
I highly advise against the GX RD. There are many issues known with these Dérailleurs. The main one being a known SRAM issue, The dérailleur "pivot bolt" or hanger bolt, as this is a pivoting part it can work its way loose, creating super sideways play. Even with this tightened to the correct torque specs it still provided play, and was not providing shifting that a $5000 + bike should ( Not fit for purpose essentially)
This can effect most of SRAM dérailleurs, however seems the GX and XX1 are Highly prone to it. This was confirmed by a colleague of mine. Who happens to be Eddie masters Mechanic for the Bergamont team, and he stated they experienced my issues countless times over a worldcup season..
Ontop of this is the cable entry into the the GX , the angle is ridiculous. It physically wears away at the cable guide and creates a groove, this means that you go through cables every 3-5 runs. I had to run a PTFE coated cable to get any sense of a semi descent shift... even this still wore through the coating in 5 runs and then started to frey the cable.
XO1 is where its at ! Trust me is well worth the extra $$ to not be disappointed and plagued with problems
sickooo build , small question do you have the 650b link??? and if yes dose it have enough clearance,im asking as i have an M and would like the x2 but with the 650b link not with the stock one. cheers
