- 1st generation Reverb with external routing. Purchased in 2012. Full rebuilt done in 2015. Still in use and performing flawlessly. Exceeded my expectations for sure. It seems I'm one of the lucky few that got a "good one". Two complaints: The hose fitting in the remote is somewhat fragile. I broke it twice in crashes. When this happen, there is no way to repair it trailside. The other complaints is the slow return speed in very cold weather.
-Gravity dropper Turbo LP. Purchased in 2013. Somewhat ugly and unrefined, but the only dropper on the market that will survive the Zombie Apocalypse. No air and/or oil cartridge that can break. Met my expectations perfectly. The remote is quite flimsy, but it hasn't broke yet.
- New generation Reverb with 1X remote. Purchased in 2018. No complaints so far. The return speed adjustment seems to have more range, but I haven't tried in really cold weather yet.
Brand X dropper from Chain Reaction cycles for $150. It does everything it says it would, hasn't given me an ounce of trouble in the year I've owned it, and I couldn't be happier.
Well, that's not 100% true. I could be very marginally happier. I have noticed a tiny bit of fore/aft wiggle as it gets worn. At first I though my saddle was a little loose on the seatpost, but it's just the inner stanchion wobbling ever so slightly on the outer. I don't notice it when riding; only when lifting by the seat. Also, the lever remote is a little chintzy. Keeping the cable lubed seems to really help.
