I live in a one bedroom apartment, my living room has specific corners: Bike Corner, camping/climbing corner, dog corner, and the 4th is a set of doors one to the bedroom one to the kitchen. Currently my bike corner over flows to the camping corner but 2 of my bikes are in a wheel stand and the other is leaned against the camping corner (its my DJ, I ride it around all day to commute). Its all fairly organized chaos at the moment but it works.
They are portable and reconfigurable. For larger DH tires, I had to make a couple of the holders a bit wider. You can put them in the low position for stability, or the high position to keep your derailleur straight.
I keep mine in this secure storage unit, dont have great pics of it unfortunatly!
and an old view from inside (use a massive chain through the ground anchor connected to the ulock now) - also dont have the rockhopper now, have the stumpy from pic1!
I made a couple of these, but skipped the glue and paint so I could reassemble as needed.

I've also made one of these PVC ones and it work great. You can take the basic plans on that site and modify them to you needs. I made one for 5 bikes in my garage and it works great. The material was in expensive and took only a couple hours to cut all the pieces and assemble. I've also skipped the glue as it's not necessary at all.

I went to Home Depot with my shopping list, and the guy cut it all for me in the store. It was pretty rad.
I used to have two 3 bike racks, but now I have a 4 rack and a 2 rack.

Old photo, but the storage method hasn't changed. This allows me to park my car under the bikes in order to fit more toys in the garage.
