I have a Jeffsy and am seriously looking into selling it because YT dropped the mob… FOR THE SECOND TIME. I get racing isn’t cheap, maybe not even cost effective, but I’m into companies that put bike sales back into the community/sport… not on some low grade marketing horror film.
True, but I promote them and support them when I ride their bike… that’s how this whole thing works…
I’m sorry, but what?! Are you an influencer? Do you truly impact more than a few dozen minds when people ask how you like your Jeffsy?
I’m not trying to make fun of you, but just point out that your logic is a bit off. You’re willing to talk shit about a bike that you’re obviously passionate about just because a bike company needed to protect its future and the hundreds of employees that work for it because they needed to retool. I know it’s more than 3-4 racers because of mechanics and such. Someone is always impacted.
Now, about your bike. If you do in fact like it, but still don’t want to “promote” the brand, here are your options:
1. Sell it at a decent price, but bike prices are still high and you’ll likely lose money buying a new bike. (If you have disposable income, screw it, buy a new bike anyway. N+1, that’s how this works, right?)
2. Spend $50-$100 on some frame protection with a design that covers the YT branding.
3. If you’re somewhere in the middle of options 1 & 2, get a freaking sweet custom paint job for a $1000 (plus or minus) and submit that beauty to Bike of the Day here.
The best part, if you choose options 2 or 3, if anyone asks what kind of bike you’re riding, just tell them it’s a Trek Session, because … doesn’t every non-Specialized or Santa Cruz bike look like a Session?
P.S. If you truly are an influencer, disregard everything I said and show them who’s boss!

Seen a few 'Hope' comments on Joe Barnes posts now he has left Orange.
Matt Stuttard was left a bit high and dry when Hope decided to stop racing, wonder if they offered his first refusal if they were to start up a program again.
That's what I was expecting too, was pretty bummed when I saw the posts and what was in the calendar.

I'm a big fan of most of Eddy and the Vanzac's shenanigans, the calendar was straight-up offensive.
I too am a big van of the Vanzacs and was surprised when they did a 90's style calender. I thought they had more sense than that.
And I can't believe there are still Monster girls at the SuperCross and MX.
Sorry that we have derailed Team Rumours. I dislike that too, but seeing as many people, including Spomer missed it I believe it does need to be talked about.

Matt is going to a new team with a brand that’s not been involved in EWS yet
Vergier and Bruni vibin? Lads riding together since always.
Sorry, that was a reply to the previous comment, mean to ask that was the post mentioned. Looked like something was going on with Greg saying it was awkward and Luca replying with an aubergine emoji. Had Loic jokingly tagged Luca?

I did wonder if he might go back to Hope. They left him a bit high and dry when they pulled out of racing so wondered if they offered him first refusal to be back on the team if they started up a program.
The only reason why I think Hope might be back racing is the comments mentioning Hope on Joe Barnes leaving Orange posts.
I thought the Vanzacs calendar was a joke at first, but apparently not. Jackson comes across as that sort of guy on Instagram - seems very immature and arrogant, but the rest of them all seem legit.
Joe Barnes on insta suggested the list of sponsors remained similar, just a frame swap. Would love to see him on another UK brand.
Comment from Privateer on the Matt Stuttard announcement suggests they will be replacing him and Chloe. Good to see them living up to the name and supporting up and coming riders.
Hugo Marini, the guy who beat all the juniors at French national champs last year as a 15/16 and cracking a top 10 overall ahead of some big name, he has probably signing with commencal muc off as he had the same dharco clothing than daprela and ride with him (insta stories)
Remember his name he could be even bigger than daprela..
I think he is a junior first year on 2022 so we can watch him on the wc
Keep an eye out for Rockshox Trek rider Tegan Cruz as well (Lucas Cruz' younger brother). He won't be doing World Cups until 2023 but he should be joining more events in 2022, I'd think.
could someone explain what's this about the vanzacs calendar or post a picture if possible?
Have you ever seen a lady in a thong? How about a dozen of them reluctantly swooning over a bunch of dirty bike racing knobheads?
If I'm looking for naked ladies on the internet, I have plenty of outlets that don't also include a bunch of ratty bros. That these goons think anyone wants to look at them says it all.
Both the photos and the promo video clips from the shoot are peak cringe.
Those of us with daughters are probably more sensitive to this type of nonsense than others, but we should all be willing to call this out.
