Looks like a horst-link! Would be cool to change it to a high-pivot horst-link. Would be strange to change it only to horst-link, without the high-pivot - given that everyone is trying to catch them
Knowing Commencal and their attachment to high-pivot it looks more like a high-pivot on which the seatstays are the swingarms, and the chainstays are the link to connect to the rocker. Something that was used on GT RTS, Sunn Radical(s), Zerode DH and many more. It seems more in-line with their current suspension philosophy that gave them many victories in the recent years. I imagine that such shift in design would allow them to reduce the frame weight a little bit since you are using the chainstays instead of a linkage, potentially also making it more compact and lower down in the frame.

just browsing the pivot website, looking through their suspension guide I think they let the cat out of the bag for the firebird 29 rear shock. Current model is 230x65 standard eyelet, Seems the new one is 205x65 trunnion which by rights means a 29 inch Mach 6 lookalike I presume.

yep, go back 2 or 3 pages mate. You werent tripping out, there is videos of a pivot with a nice warm blanket keeping the shock oil warm.
if any of these are not new, i apologize. i bow down to you all for your nerding wisdom
i pulled a few screencaps from our not-a-race raw so you all can check out the bikes.
loic and finn on a special link but no high pivot or idler that could be seen.
greg's bike w/o the rear extension
is that devinci unique?
greg williamson's commencal - is that linkage down low normal? is that what angel's been keeping covered?
wyn's DH bike w/ that front triangle
mondrakers seemed pretty normal, so did the cubes and treks. if you see something in the vid, holler and i can get the source frame grab.

The Commencal looks like a regular Supreme with custom links (the one under wraps uses the chainstays as part of the linkage, unlike the current Supreme); same with the Demo. As for the Devinci, it looks like a stock 2021 Wilson to me but I'm not positive. One of the Sessions in the video looked like it was running the Blackbox suspension front and rear, but I doubt any screencaps of the shock would be better than these.
You can see the upcoming long-travel bike on the other page too (screenshot from a slightly better angle)

the new range that is meant to be launched as well. Spoke to a bike shop recently about norco's they said that they are launching new bikes sometime this month.

Those bikes are all the same as usual with the exception of wyn masters GT which we have already seen pictures of before. Not a fan of the large seat tube top tube triangle brace but it should ride all the same. Most pros especially the specialized team have custom links to suit their needs so thats nothing special

I’ve had a new Range on order for a whole year. Yeah, a YEAR..... Latest rumor I heard was fall for the model I ordered. I’m just happy I have something to ride in the meantime.
SR Suntour still does not have the lower legs for rux 29. look at the space between the roll bar and the tire! when i was a mechanic for benoit coulanges (in team dorval am), we filed the hoop to give it more space. but the NS team mechanics apparently don't care ...
whoa, that fork/wheel clearance is gnarly.
also, bummer those not-a-race screencaps are basically old news. i'll leave the true nerding to you all.
also also, high fives on your story sleuthing yesterday
also also also, this is technically gear related and freaking hilarious TLD 90-degree "ANAL" (sorry stik)

As soon as I saw it last night, I tried to find a pic on Luca's Instragram feed to see if people were harrassing him about it, but none.
Oh, and just so people know (if they don't), tattoo artists who do custom work on you hide words in the design all the time. I've seen some truly gnarly stuff in people's tats and they will NEVER know.
Now...go make your tatted up buddy paranoid. Also, 100% true.
Haha! As a graphic designer, I'm quite sure the "hidden message" is what the viewer is bringing to that design. Read as, someone has "anal" on their mind and it wasn't the designer. That said, it is the graphic designer's job to vet the design to avoid issues like people who read "anal" in everything.

As a creative director and former custom painter.... can confirm.
Also, I do know of custom painters who have cleared their own pubes into work of customers who drove them insane.
You better hope NSMB doesn't find out about this thread!!
(I wonder if my kids would even watch that or if it's too dated...)
Sorry for the derail, back to bike nerding!
