Having recently relocated to Golden, CO, Alchemy Bikes is rolling out a new program aimed at reimagining what New Bike Day looks like for customers who want the ultimate white glove treatment at no additional cost. Known as the DARE (Discover Alchemy Ride Experience): Golden Package, customers will now have the option of coming out to the headquarters dubbed the AREC (Alchemy Ride Experience Center) to take delivery of their new bike and get the ultimate pre-ride setup.
Included in the package is a one-night stay at the four-star Origin Red Rocks Hotel, a $20 gift card to Over Yonder Brewery, as well as a breakfast burrito and coffee complimentary of Launch Coffee Company. All of which are conveniently located within walking distance of each other. We checked out the experience for ourselves to get a better understanding of what to expect.
What customers will benefit from most through this program is the ability to get their setup fully dialed in one on one, and then immediately go for a ride. With Apex Park and Matthews Winters Park a short half-mile pedal from the office, riders can quickly shakedown the bike setup and dictate what changes they’d like. From details as little as a few PSI to something as big as switching frame sizes if necessary, Alchemy will help with it all. This not only ensures customers are 100% satisfied with their purchase before being sent on their way but allows the staff at Alchemy to educate riders on what changes are being made as well as what to expect down the road in terms of maintenance or when riding different types of terrain.
Once the customer is happy with the final setup of their new bike, they can enjoy a beer or two at Over Yonder Brewing. The staff is equally as knowledgeable with their hops as they are the local trails, or a Michelin star dining experience at the Origin Red Rock Hotel. When it’s time to head home, customers can take their bike with them or use Kitsuma to have the bike delivered within a couple of business days.
Aside from the DARE program, the AREC building serves as the new headquarters for Alchemy and as a place local riders can come to enjoy drinks after a ride or a place to simply hang out with like-minded bicycle enthusiasts. A tour of the facility and a look inside the production area where all Argos, Atlas, and Ronin carbon and titanium frames are manufactured by hand revealed the intricate processes that go into the making of Alchemy’s bikes.
Customers are able to choose custom colors on any Alchemy frame with nearly half a million color options available from their PPG paint mixer as well as Cerakote H Series options which are first sprayed as a sample before committing to spraying an entire frame.
Alchemy even offers custom geometry on select frames manufactured in the US. Riders can be fitted using the in-house fit studio and have a frame manufactured around their fit numbers. We felt the seemingly endless number of combinations available and attention to detail put into every bike explains the need for the DARE program on New Bike Day.
