You might recall taking Vital's annual survey a few months ago - over 6,000 of you completed it. For those that did, thanks for participating!
We've gone through and tabulated the results. Here's a quick teaser:
- Average age: 29.4
- Average household income: $78,165
- Top three countries: USA, UK, Canada
- 44.5% of you raced in the last year, and of those downhill was the most popular race type, but cross-country wasn't far behind.
- You guys ride an average of 2.6 times per week (that's more than most do, heck yeah!).
- You own an average of 2.3 bikes at a cost of $3,525 a pop.
- The most popular type of bike owned is an all-mountain/trail bike.
- 45.2% will buy a brand new ride in the next year (check the results to see what'll be popular).
- It's an almost dead even split between SRAM and Shimano when it comes to the shifting and derailleur department.
