Tioga’s Spyder saddle design has been around for years, but maybe it’s fair to say it’s not everybody’s cup of tea sitting on a plastic grid. Last year they introduced the Undercover series which basically saw them add a layer of foam to the Spyder design which combines the ride quality of the flexible base with a foam cover for that extra bit of comfort and more familiar feel to the contact point.
New for this year is the Undercover Boost series which is an all-mountain/enduro declination of the Undercover series of saddles. The Boost is available with either chromo or Ti rails. The Ti railed versions weighs in at 195 grams and retailing for 140 dollars. Some versions of the Undercover saddle also feature carbon rails which allow you to drop a few more grams and add about 50 dollars to the price tag. But the all-mountain specific version does not exist with carbon rails for durability reasons. The Undercover boost is available pretty much as you read these lines.
