Rampage week is here! Probably the biggest test of skill, nerve, and sheer guts on two wheels, this event will chew you up and spit you out if you are not 110% on your game. Check out the top three runs from 2017 and listen in as the riders provide you with their own running commentary for a bit of insight into what it takes to navigate the rowdy ridges of Utah when everything is on the line. My same feeling. I feel like the coverage and line choice stuff was way earlier in previous years. Maybe they're keeping the stoke low for some reason? Weather?

I remember having the same feeling last year, most of the footage before the finals weekend was from instagram. I think they purposefully limit the press coverage of the preparation stage to keep up interest. I can kinda see how if they showed the same 4-5 lines all week and riders hitting most of their lines it would take away from the finals. Still, the media blackout is a bit weird...

never been on Instagram.Well that sucks.I remember when coverage started 2 weeks before the competition.

A few years back, when the site location had pre-built features, there would be more info out there. Now that Rampage has gone back to a more raw format, there isn't any pre-building to cover and share.
In addition, the site is on full lockdown (riders and diggers only) for the first 5 days. Starting tomorrow, more media types will be allowed at the venue and we'll start to see more of the goods.
